Aldi has introduced a new portable solar charger priced at £29.99, just in time for summer outdoor activities. The foldable device features four solar panels and three USB-C ports, allowing users to charge multiple devices simultaneously. It is already selling out in some stores.
The charger has a maximum output of 40W in strong sunlight, though performance may decrease on cloudy days. Unlike traditional power banks, it generates energy on the go rather than storing it. Aldi describes it as ideal for camping, hiking, and other outdoor adventures.
This product is part of Aldi's specialbuys range and will not be restocked once sold out. The launch coincides with a broader government push to make renewable energy more accessible, with retailers like Lidl, Iceland, Currys, and Amazon preparing to sell £400 plug-in solar panels.
