New Brighton Family Food and Drink Festival returns this week with more than 100 independent traders. Taking place at The Dips from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26, the event offers world cuisines, family entertainment and hours of fun for all ages.
The festival attracted more than 30,000 visitors last year. Organisers have added an independent market village, an international food village and a pet village with dog shows, a pet assault course and pet-friendly stalls.
Free Entry and Opening Hours
Organisers have confirmed the festival is free to enter and will be open daily from 11am to 7pm. Co-organiser Kate Corcoran previously said: "We're so proud of what this event has become. Our goal has always been to fill the void left by the Wirral Show and create a vibrant, free space where the entire community can come together, while showcasing the amazing talent and creativity right here in our local area."
Food and Attractions
The festival offers international street food, from Chinese, Japanese and Mexican to classics including smash burgers, fish and chips, pizza, salt n pepper and more. A large sensory zone, designed with additional needs in mind, will offer trampolines, inflatables, giant ball pits, and breakout spaces in a calmer setting. One of the region's biggest funfairs will also return, featuring the headline thrill ride The Bomber alongside rides for all ages.
Entertainment Schedule
There are two stages across the weekend. The family stage showcases family-friendly acts while the festival bar stage hosts local musicians.

Getting There
Public transport is easily accessible, with New Brighton train station around a 20-minute walk from the festival site. Regular bus services also operate nearby, including the 400 bus, which stops at King's Parade, approximately an eight-minute walk away. There will be 300 free parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis, with an overflow car park also available for £6 per day.
