Thousands of participants took on the annual Pretty Muddy Race for Life at Heaton Park in Manchester on Saturday, navigating a 5K obstacle course while being drenched in mud by volunteers. The event, organized by Cancer Research UK, saw adults and children alike dress up and brave the mucky terrain to raise funds for cancer research.
Obstacle Course and Mud Ambushes
The course combined grass, surfaced paths, and woodland trails of varying elevations. Participants were ambushed with buckets of mud at multiple points, ensuring everyone got thoroughly dirty. We're doing this for my mum."
