Gardener Shares Genius Way to Reuse Fruit Net Packaging

A keen gardener has shared a way to spruce up your garden using net packaging from fruits like oranges, limes, and garlic. The tip involves turning discarded netting into stunning floral arrangements with just a mason jar and garden flowers.

How to Use Netting in Your Garden

The woman behind TikTok account @theknottygarden demonstrated placing the netting over the top of a mason jar, then securing a lid with a gap. After trimming excess netting, she threaded fresh flowers through each hole, creating a bouquet that can be easily refreshed. The netting holds stems securely, and the arrangement costs nothing if you already have a jar and garden flowers.

Other Gardening Tips

She also suggested sifting potting soil to reuse it, using an upside-down tomato cage with a bamboo tripod as a taller trellis for climbing plants, and using a stainless steel strainer or colander as an in-ground composter. For holiday plant care, she recommended a kids' pool to keep plants watered.
