Families can enjoy a taste of the seaside this summer as Livingston Designer Outlet opens its free indoor beach for the school holidays. Running until August 9, the family-friendly attraction has been created in partnership with Down’s Syndrome Scotland, offering a fun-filled seaside experience whatever the weather.
Indoor Beach Features and Activities
Complete with sand, colourful beach-themed décor and towering flamingos overlooking the space, the indoor beach is free to enjoy and will be open daily from 10am until 4pm. Visitors are also invited to make a small voluntary donation, with all proceeds supporting Down’s Syndrome Scotland and its work with people with Down’s Syndrome and their families across Scotland.
Adding to the summer fun, visitors can also help name the beach’s two resident flamingos. The public can submit their suggestions via Livingston Designer Outlet’s social media channels, with the two winning names becoming the flamingos’ official names for the summer. Each winner will receive a £100 Livingston Designer Outlet gift card.
