Craigie Farmers' Society Annual Show is scheduled for Saturday, August 8 at Langholm Farm, Corraith Road, Symington. The event will once again be hosted by the Baird Family, who have kindly permitted the use of their land.
Weather Hopes and Spirits High
A show spokesperson expressed optimism about the weather, saying: “Hopefully the weather will be on our side and give us a nice summer’s day.” They added, “If not, our spirits will not be dampened and the competition will be as keen as ever!”
This year's judges have gained recognition nationally and possibly even internationally for their expertise. Enthusiasts of the local show circuit will be out in force to parade their stock before these experts.
Attractions and Competitions
In addition to the usual attractions, the show will feature food stalls, entertainment, and equestrian and farming demonstrations. Competitions will include dairy, beef, sheep, and Clydesdale classes, along with Hunter Horses, Pony showing, and jumping. Children can participate in a pets class, and there will be terrier dog classes and a family fun dog show.
