Paranormal Investigator Summons UFO Buffs to Scots Hotspot

Paranormal investigator Malcolm Robinson is rallying UFO enthusiasts to scour the skies at a Scottish hotspot, calling for a government probe into extraterrestrial activity. He is hosting a night-time “sky watch” on July 26 at Rough Castle Farm in Bonnybridge, with a TV crew filming for a BBC-commissioned documentary set to air at Halloween.

Decades of Investigations and Calls for Transparency

Robinson, who has written numerous books on UFOs, has spent over 45 years investigating unexplained aerial phenomena. He has campaigned for UK authorities to release files on “unusual aerial objects,” particularly after a surge of sightings in central Scotland during the 1990s, known as the Falkirk Triangle. Along with Bonnybridge councillor Billy Buchanan, he has urged former Prime Ministers to establish a formal inquiry.

“The vast majority of UFO sightings can be explained no problem,” Robinson said. “But I would not have been in this subject for over 45 years if I didn’t honestly believe that we’re dealing with something real, something tangible. It’s an ongoing worldwide phenomena and there are so many high standing academic people now involved in this. We just need clarity from the British Government.”

Rigorous Verification Process

Robinson emphasized that any sightings during the sky watch will undergo a strict verification process to rule out explainable factors. This includes checking with Police Scotland, airports in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cumbernauld, and Prestwick, the Ministry of Defence, and meteorological stations for weather balloons. “In effect what we’re doing is dotting the I’s and crossing T’s because sceptics will ask if we’ve tried it. We’re covering all bases,” he said.

The event is expected to draw dozens of participants. “This sky watch allows new people to come along and put boots on the ground. We’ll explain to them what you can see in the sky, your normal stuff like aircraft and satellites. But because people are in this hot spot area, then who knows, maybe someone just might see something out of the norm,” Robinson added.

Political Pressure and Public Demand

Last month, Robinson called on UK authorities to follow the US in releasing documents and holding hearings on UFOs. He plans to urge Scottish ministers to support his plea and is prepared to demonstrate outside the Scottish Parliament. “We believe the British public deserves answers. The time has come for the UK Government to follow the example set by the United States and undertake a thorough, open, and independent review of reported UFO activity within British airspace,” he stated.

The Bonnybridge sky watch will take place on July 26 at 10pm at the Wheel, Camp and Caravan Park at Rough Castle Farm. The documentary episode is expected to air later this year.
