TV Tonight: The Sentinels - A Wild French Drama About WWI Super-Soldiers
TV Tonight: The Sentinels - WWI Super-Soldiers Drama

The Sentinels airs at 9pm on BBC Four, offering a riveting first world war drama with a sci-fi twist. Based on a French graphic novel series, it follows Gabriel Ferraud (Louis Peres), who is seriously wounded on the front line and offered a top-secret treatment in Paris that could either kill him or turn him into a “super soldier.” The plot thickens as questions arise about German knowledge of the trial and the true purpose of creating the Sentinels.

Alexander Armstrong Across America

At 8pm on Channel 5, the Pointless presenter continues his US holiday. He travels from the Hoover Dam to the deserts of Utah, stopping in Las Vegas. Expect tales of glitz, glam, and the gambling hotspot’s underbelly of poverty, along with him goofing around on a massive rope swing.

Casualty

On BBC One at 8.10pm, Dylan returns to A&E after succumbing to alcohol. He struggles through a shift while bilious, laden with self-loathing, and suffering disturbing flashbacks. Among the patients, there’s a neat fable about facing mortality and a well-meant but slightly half-baked one about hate speech turning into real harm.
