In a heartwarming moment on Friday's edition of It Takes Two, Vicky Pattison halted the conversation to sing the praises of her fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant, George Clarke.
Emotional Support on It Takes Two
The show, hosted by Janette Manrara, featured a catch-up with contestants following their rehearsals, though no celebrities were present in the studio. Former Strictly star Tasha Ghouri chatted with the duo, who have been consistently impressing the judges with their weekly performances.
The discussion turned to George's concerns about his upcoming Viennese Waltz, where the YouTube personality admitted to having a stiff upper body. His professional partner, Alexis Warr, has been coaching him to remember to breathe during the routine to help combat the issue.
It was then that Vicky, who was visibly emotional during the previous week's show, interjected. "George won't say this about himself because he's too modest," she remarked. "But, he's actually one of the strongest male ballroom dancers in this competition I think."
She continued with genuine admiration, "He's ballroom born, you look really great when you're doing it, George! I just think it's important to mention that because he's very modest. I think he's going to be great this week."
Who Truly Has the Winning Edge?
Despite her strong endorsement for George, it seems Vicky might be the one to watch closely this weekend. Tasha Ghouri disclosed that Vicky's own professional partner, Kai Widdrington, believes their upcoming dance could be her best ballroom performance yet.
This comes after a successful Halloween special where Vicky scored 31 from the judges, landing her in sixth place on the leaderboard. George trailed slightly with a score of 29, placing him seventh.
The previous weekend also saw the departure of Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola, who were eliminated after losing the dance-off to Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.
A Touching Farewell
Reflecting on her Strictly journey, Ellie had nothing but kind words for her dance partner, whom she affectionately calls her 'big brother'.
"I've enjoyed it so much," she expressed. "He is a kind person and all I wanted from day one. You have been so heart-warming, thank you to you [Vito]."
Vito responded emotionally, telling Ellie, "Honestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you, and you did really change my life so much." He added, "I've never had a little sister, but I always wanted one. Now, I have you and you're my little sister forever, and your big brother is always by your side."
