Former Gogglebox favourite Thomas Skinner has made a surprising declaration about his future on Strictly Come Dancing, confidently stating he won't be facing the dreaded dance-off this weekend.
The charismatic businessman, who's partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, revealed his optimistic outlook during rehearsals for Saturday's show. Despite finding himself in the bottom two last week, Skinner remains undeterred.
'We're Coming Back Fighting'
'I'm telling you now, we won't be in the dance-off this week,' Skinner announced with characteristic enthusiasm. 'We've got a great routine, Dianne's been absolutely brilliant, and we're coming back fighting.'
The London-based star acknowledged the nerve-wracking experience of last week's elimination scare but insists it's only motivated him to improve. 'It gives you that fire in your belly to prove yourself,' he explained.
The Road to Redemption
Skinner and Buswell are preparing to perform the Quickstep to 'My Old Man's a Dustman' this Saturday, a routine the novice dancer believes will showcase their progress.
'We've worked incredibly hard this week,' Skinner revealed. 'The Quickstep is fast, it's technical, but we're having a proper laugh with it. That's what Strictly should be about.'
The popular contestant also shared his unique approach to handling the pressure: 'You can't go out there nervous. If you're having fun, the audience can see that. We're just going to enjoy every second.'
Public Support Fuels Confidence
Skinner's confidence appears to be bolstered by overwhelming public support, with many viewers taking to social media to express their admiration for his journey.
'The messages from everyone have been unbelievable,' he said. 'It makes you realise people are behind you. We're doing this for everyone who's supported us.'
As the competition intensifies, all eyes will be on Skinner and Buswell this Saturday night to see if their renewed determination pays off on the dancefloor.
