In a dramatic turn of events on Strictly Come Dancing, former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has been tipped to win the entire competition, surpassing the previous favourite, Lewis Cope.
A Flawless Tango Changes Everything
Following a series of mixed critiques from the judges, Vicky Pattison delivered what was described as a flawless Tango during the live show. The performance, which concluded with a dramatic move, left the audience and judges in awe. An overjoyed and breathless Vicky ran to her professional partner, Kai Widdrington, and was met with the highest praise from all four judges, including the notoriously hard-to-please Craig Revel Horwood.
This stellar performance has positioned her as a frontrunner for the final, a significant shift from earlier in the series where Lewis Cope had been the leaderboard favourite.
Judges Declare Her a Finalist
The judges' comments left little doubt about Vicky's potential. Judge Motsi Mabuse confidently stated, "Last week I said you were a contender for the final and this dance just proved what I meant. You confirmed my intuition, without a doubt. You were on fire." She went on to call it the "dance of the night."
Lead judge Shirley Ballas agreed wholeheartedly, praising Vicky's footwork, narrative, and personality. "I'm with Motsi, for me the best dance of the night so far," Ballas concluded. This overwhelming support sent Vicky running up the stairs to greet her fellow contestants, barely able to contain her joy.
Personal Sacrifices and Future Plans
Vicky's journey to the Strictly ballroom involved a significant personal decision. Before signing for the show, she revealed she was at a crossroads. In an interview with The Mirror, she confessed that the choice was between doing Strictly, a second series of her show Honesty Box, or starting a family with her new husband, Ercan Ramadan.
The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in August last year, have put their baby plans on hold. "When I got the call for Strictly, he was over the moon," Vicky admitted. "Kids are definitely on the cards next year." Despite this delay, Ercan has been her biggest supporter, providing her with electrolytes and collagen every morning to aid her rigorous training.
Her professional partner, Kai Widdrington, added to the accolades, stating that Vicky didn't need to get into character for the powerful Tango because she embodied its strength and confidence. He concluded his praise by remarking that he felt he was dancing with a "professional."
