Hannah Spearritt Reveals Secret Boob Job Led to Drug Dependency and Rehab

Former S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, 42, has opened up about how a secret breast augmentation in 2013 became the 'worst mistake' of her life, leading to drug dependency and a stint in rehab. The procedure, costing £7,000 at a Harley Street clinic, was reversed in 2016 after she struggled with severe side effects.

Spearritt told The Sun that she was put on multiple drugs and experienced panic attacks and excessive sleep. 'My reality felt worse than a death sentence at times because I didn’t know if it would ever stop,' she said. She became dependent on strong painkillers and was later sent to rehab.

The singer attributed her decision to undergo surgery to the pressures of pop fame, as she often felt inadequate posing alongside bandmates for lads' magazines. S Club 7, formed in 1999, sold over 10 million albums worldwide.

Spearritt also discussed leaving the band's reunion tour in May following the death of her ex-bandmate and former boyfriend Paul Cattermole, 46. She experienced 'crippling panic attacks' and health issues, and said she does not know if she will ever perform with S Club again. 'I'm looking forward, not backwards,' she stated.

She has not been in touch with her former bandmates since leaving the tour, but wishes them well. The remaining members—Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara, and Tina Barrett—are set to begin the tour on October 12, dedicated to Cattermole.
