Princess and Junior Andre Join Celebrity Race Across The World Cast

Siblings Princess and Junior Andre have reportedly signed up for the upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across The World on the BBC. Sources indicate that the pair, children of former glamour model Katie Price and singer Peter Andre, have already traveled abroad to commence filming for the popular television programme.

Reality Show Success Leads to New Opportunity

It is believed that Princess, aged 18, and Junior, aged 20, were recruited by producers following the notable success of their ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries. That programme, which chronicles Princess's experiences as an influencer navigating public life, became the channel's most significant launch of 2025 outside of Love Island and Big Brother. A second series is scheduled to premiere next month.

Celebrity Race Across The World features four famous pairs racing across a designated global region to reach a specific destination, utilising any mode of transportation except air travel. The previous series saw DJ Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon emerge victorious after a gruelling 3,700-mile journey through Central America.

Insider Praise and Audience Appeal

A source disclosed to The Sun: 'Princess and Junior have proven themselves to be well-mannered, hardworking kids and opportunities continue to come their way. Executives were impressed with the ratings for The Princess Diaries but also how they came across. They're brilliant signings for Celeb Race as they bring with them a younger audience. But bosses are also looking forward to seeing how they cope with the stripped-back style of travelling as they're more at home in five-star hotels than a hostel.'

Representatives for Race Across The World have declined to comment on the casting rumours. The Daily Mail has also reached out to representatives for Princess and Junior Andre for further clarification.

Family Dynamics and Personal Challenges

The siblings' departure to film the series coincides with heightened concern regarding their mother Katie Price's recent whirlwind marriage to her fourth husband, Lee Andrews. New records suggest the couple formally registered their marriage on February 17.

During a recent appearance on This Morning, Princess and Junior discussed their mother's new relationship. Princess revealed she has not yet met Lee, with Junior adding that the family is 'happy as long as she's happy.' Junior elaborated: 'Our mum is her own person, she's her own woman, she's going to do what she's going to do and at the end of the day, we're supportive of her as long as she's happy.' Princess concurred: 'If she's happy, we're happy.'

Past Controversies and Parental Tensions

Despite the acclaim for The Princess Diaries, the show faced negative publicity due to Peter Andre's involvement and Katie Price's absence. Katie expressed feeling 'disrespected' and 'disregarded,' alleging that Peter and his management team orchestrated the snub.

In the first episode of the new series, Princess addresses the familial strife caused by the programme. She stated: 'It was difficult to deal with. It caused so much family drama. It really upset me – I genuinely felt bad. I was so excited for the show to come out and I still got amazing support, but it ruined it and upset me that it was causing arguments. It felt like it was all my fault. I thought: "Oh my god, this is not what I wanted."'

Last year, Peter and his wife Emily decided to withdraw from the second season of The Princess Diaries following backlash from Katie. Insiders revealed that Princess made this decision after discussions with her father. A source explained: 'Pete and Emily will not feature in The Princess Diaries seasons two and three. It was discussed between him and Princess, and they decided as a family that it's better for the show to focus on Princess alone, rather than her family life. Katie was obviously very hurt over not being asked to film alongside Princess for season one, and she caused a lot of drama and upset behind the scenes. No one wants Princess to feel caught between her two parents, so Pete has taken a massive step back, which he hopes will resolve many of the issues. Everyone just wants the best for Princess, and the show is her series after all, now she's 18, she can stand on her own two feet.'

Katie and Peter publicly declared an end to their bitter feud earlier this month, pledging to foster a 'calm and supportive environment' for their children moving forward.
