Former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith has opened up about a terrifying ordeal that saw her and her boyfriend, Max George of The Wanted, forced to flee their home due to a sudden fire. The couple's holiday plans were left in ruins after the unexpected incident.
Speaking candidly, Maisie recounted the moment they were abruptly woken up in the middle of the night by smoke alarms. "It was absolutely terrifying," she admitted. "We had to get out immediately—no time to grab anything."
The fire, which broke out unexpectedly, caused significant damage to their property. "We were supposed to leave for a getaway the next day, but everything had to be put on hold," Maisie explained. "It was a nightmare."
Despite the scare, the couple is grateful to be safe. "Material things can be replaced, but our safety was the priority," Max added. The pair are now focusing on rebuilding and rescheduling their much-needed holiday.
