Linda Robson Reveals True Feelings on Loose Women Cuts

Linda Robson has shared her honest thoughts on the major changes coming to Loose Women, amid fears the show could be axed entirely. The 67-year-old panelist admitted she hopes ITV bosses will reconsider the proposals, which are set to take effect in January.

The budget cuts will see the panel show air for only half the year, with no A-list guests or live audience. There are growing concerns that the ITV staple could be cancelled within a year. Robson said she is trying to stay positive, but added: 'I think it'd be very sad if it got cancelled because of all the people that are watching at home, especially older people.'

Robson also expressed concern for her co-stars, noting that many have been with the show for 25 years. She hopes the audience will return in the new year and the show can continue as normal. The cuts are part of wider reductions at ITV Studios, affecting Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, and This Morning, with over 220 of 440 staff losing their jobs.

Co-star Nadia Sawalha highlighted the precarious nature of their employment, explaining that panelists are self-employed and on short-term contracts. Meanwhile, Janet Street-Porter believes older panelists are safe, as they appeal to the target audience, suggesting that newer or younger stars may be at greater risk.
