Jacqueline Jossa eyes EastEnders return after talks with show boss

Jacqueline Jossa is reportedly in talks to make a full-time return to EastEnders, having expressed her desire to reprise her role as Lauren Branning. The actress, 30, returned briefly earlier this year for Dot Cotton's funeral, which aired in December 2023, and has since spoken to show boss Chris Clenshaw about a potential comeback.

A source told The Sun that Jossa 'hugely enjoyed' returning for the funeral and 'made it clear she would be up for Lauren returning to Walford'. The insider added that while a return depends on storylines and her family commitments, her two daughters are now older, which could make a comeback more feasible.

Jossa played Lauren Branning from 2010 to 2018, winning the Best Actress award at the Inside Soap Awards in 2013. After leaving EastEnders, she won the 19th series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2019. She is married to reality star Dan Osborne, with whom she has two daughters, Ella and Mia.

During a recent Instagram Q&A, Jossa hinted at a possible return, saying: 'I loved being back, and was so happy with you lot in my DMs, maybe one day.' The BBC and Jossa's representatives have been contacted for comment.
