Good Morning Britain journalist Katy Rickitt has confirmed she will remain with the programme after a period of reduced appearances, following ITV's recent daytime schedule changes and budget cuts.
Rickitt, who joined the show in 2012 as a news correspondent, responded to a fan on Instagram who asked if she was no longer on the programme. She replied: 'I'm there next week, lovely, just a quiet couple of months.'
ITV announced last year that it would cut more than 220 jobs from its daytime programming, affecting shows including Lorraine, which has been reduced to 30 minutes for 30 weeks a year. Good Morning Britain, however, has been extended by 30 minutes, now running from 6am to 9:30am.
The changes have led to several presenters leaving the show, including Richard Gaisford, Faye Barker, Zoe Muldoon, and regular contributor Andrew Pierce after a decade. The programme also moved to a smaller studio, with the first show of 2026 hosted by Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.
Rickitt, married to former Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt, also runs an artisan bottle shop in Cheshire with her husband. She has been a regular face on the programme for over a decade, covering a wide range of stories.
