Gardeners' World Moves to BBC Four Due to Snooker Championship

Gardeners' World is set to air on BBC Four this Friday, 1 May, instead of its usual BBC Two slot, due to coverage of the Snooker World Championship. The snooker runs from 7pm to 10pm, conflicting with the programme's regular broadcast time.

The BBC confirmed the change in a social media post, featuring a humorous video of the show's cast moving off-screen. Monty Don appeared to reassure viewers, saying: "Don't panic, we've not been snookered!" The episode will air at 9pm on BBC Four, or be available on BBC iPlayer.

Fans reacted positively, with one commenting: "At least it's not completely cancelled." Another wrote: "Thank goodness for that. Friday evening just isn't the same without it." However, viewers outside the UK expressed disappointment, as BBC Four is not available in some countries.

The schedule change follows a technical glitch during the snooker semi-final between Mark Allen and Wu Yize, when the broadcast was interrupted for 12 minutes due to a power issue. Presenter Hazel Irvine apologised on air, confirming Allen won the third frame.
