Flintoff stunned by Bullseye contestant's tattoo plan

Former cricket star Freddie Flintoff was left genuinely astonished during the filming of the revived gameshow Bullseye, when a contestant revealed an unusual plan for their potential prize money.

The Return of an Iconic Show

The beloved darts-based gameshow, which originally became a weekend television staple in the 1980s, has made a triumphant return to ITV. After a successful Christmas special last year that marked 43 years since its television debut, the programme's popularity surge prompted ITV to commission a brand new, four-part series.

Hosting duties for the revival have been handed to Freddie Flintoff, who takes over from the original presenter Jim Bowen. The new series maintains the classic format that fans remember so fondly.

Contestant's Unusual Winning Plan

During tonight's episode, which airs on November 9, Flintoff found himself taken aback during a conversation with contestants Gail and JoJo. When Freddie asked if they had anything "special planned" for any potential winnings, Gail revealed their unique intention.

"So we're going to get some matching tattoos," Gail explained. "We're going to have a Bully face in the flight, and on the stem we will have your signature."

Flintoff responded with surprise, revealing that Master of Ceremonies Richard Ashdown had been considering getting a tattoo himself and promised to get the same design if the pair won. Ashdown jokingly added that he would include "Gail and JoJo's name on" his version.

What to Expect from New Bullseye

The revived show maintains its traditional team structure, with each pair consisting of one amateur dart player (the "thrower") and their partner (the "knower"). Together, they combine their skills in dart-throwing and question-answering to win points and prizes, including the legendary mystery star prize from Bully.

Joining Flintoff for this new series are Luke 'The Nuke' Littler and Richard Ashdown. The show promises higher stakes than ever, with ITV teasing viewers with the question: "who will win the speedboat?"

In preparation for hosting the iconic show's return, Flintoff reportedly re-watched old episodes, noting that the original was filmed in one continuous scene.

Bullseye returns tonight from 8pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
