Fans of the long-running BBC series Father Brown will be disappointed to learn that the show has been pulled from its usual Friday afternoon slot to make way for coverage of the Winter Olympics.
The 13th series, starring Mark Williams as the crime-solving clergyman, has been airing at 2pm on BBC One. However, the next episode, titled 'The Obedient Wife', will not air on Friday, February 13, as scheduled. The show is also absent from the schedule on Friday, February 20.
The BBC is broadcasting over 450 hours of live action from Milan-Cortina, featuring the world's top winter sport athletes. The coverage is expected to disrupt the usual schedule until February 22.
Father Brown is not the only programme affected; Death in Paradise, Silent Witness, MasterChef, and FA Cup coverage have also been moved or postponed. The series is expected to return to its regular slot on Friday, February 27.
In the meantime, viewers can catch up on series 13 via BBC iPlayer. The new season features returning cast members including Tom Chambers, Claudie Blakley, Ruby-May Martinwood, John Burton, and Sorcha Cusack, alongside guest stars such as Maureen Lipman and Julia Sawalha.
