A devoted EastEnders enthusiast has taken social media by storm after sharing his unique encounters with the BBC soap's cast, creating a viral ranking system from 'nice to nasty' on his popular TikTok account.
The Superfan and His Platform
The fan, known online as Pete with the username @petesecurity0180, originally posted his candid assessments back in 2020 but has since gained significant attention. Hailing from the South East and describing himself as a 'massive EastEnders fan', Pete boasts an impressive 148,400 followers on the platform where he shares his experiences meeting cast members.
His bio includes the straightforward warning: 'Haters will be BLOCKED!' demonstrating his no-nonsense approach to engaging with his substantial audience.
Cast Encounters and Ratings
Pete documented his meetings through 14 separate videos, capturing moments with stars both outside the BBC Elstree Centre in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and at various other locations.
In his first video, Pete shared a photograph with Mick Carter actor Danny Dyer, awarding him a perfect score. 'First up is Danny Dyer, my favourite. 10/10,' Pete declared. 'Always a pleasure. Always happy to see me. Always happy to see him.'
He was equally complimentary about Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney Dean, giving her top marks. 'Lovely girl,' he said, revealing a personal connection. 'Bought her some stuff last year, I really love her loads, the bracelet I bought her, she wore that at the National Television Awards this year.'
Jacqueline Jossa also received praise in part two of his series. 'Always a pleasure to speak to her, always stops for me,' Pete noted, 'even got out of the car and had a chat with me.'
The Critical Assessments
Not all cast members received such glowing reviews. Pete was particularly critical of Jessie Wallace, who portrays Kat Slater. Sharing a snap taken elsewhere because 'she never stops' outside the studios, Pete bluntly described her as 'miserable, moody.'
Linda Henry, known for playing Shirley Carter, received a mediocre five out of ten. 'Um, yeah, only smiled once,' Pete recalled. 'Only picture I've taken with her. Never stops outside the studio. Always has her head down. Never happy.'
His assessment of Letitia Dean (Sharon Watts) was mixed, giving her eight out of ten but criticizing her driver. 'Lovely lady,' he said, 'but the person who drives her, I don't know if it's her husband or manager, right miserable. Won't let anybody talk to her.'
Other cast members receiving perfect scores included Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater), whom he met in the Queen Vic, Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell), and Jake Wood (Max Branning), who Pete simply described as a 'lovely geezer.'
Davood Ghadami, who played Kush Kazemi between 2014 and 2021, also earned a perfect '10/10 for just being a nice geezer.'
Meanwhile, Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell) received a more neutral assessment. 'I've met him a couple of times,' Pete noted. 'Always in a hurry to get away though, drives a nice Mercedes though.'
In a surprising revelation about Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell), Pete observed: 'He was quite shy really, baring in mind he is supposed to be the villain of the square.'
The series provides a fascinating glimpse into fan-celebrity interactions and has sparked considerable discussion among EastEnders enthusiasts about the cast members' real-life personalities outside their fictional Walford roles.
