Claudia Winkleman Adjusts Filming Schedule for New Chat Show Amid Multiple High-Profile Roles
In-demand television presenter Claudia Winkleman has rearranged the filming schedule for her upcoming celebrity chat show as she balances another major presenting commitment. The Strictly Come Dancing host, who has experienced a significant surge in popularity following the debut of The Traitors in 2022, continues to expand her broadcasting portfolio.
Juggling Major Television Projects
Despite surprising fans last year with her departure from Strictly Come Dancing, Winkleman has secured her own chat show on BBC One. However, her schedule does not stop there, as she has also joined the presenting team for Channel 4's coverage of Crufts this year. A television insider commented: 'There’s huge anticipation for The Claudia Winkleman Show, though the BBC are keeping all the details under wraps until the last moment.'
The insider added: 'They’ve pulled out all the stops, including ensuring Claudia was able to juggle two huge roles in the same month.' After completing her duties for Crufts and her chat show, Winkleman will head to Scotland at the end of April to begin preparations for the new series of The Traitors.
Details of The Claudia Winkleman Show
Scheduled to air on BBC One on Friday nights in Spring 2026, The Claudia Winkleman Show will feature the presenter interviewing prominent figures from film, television, music, and other fields in front of a live audience. Reports indicate that the set will be designed to mirror the aesthetic of The Traitors castle, creating a visual style closely associated with Winkleman.
Speaking about her new opportunity, Claudia expressed her excitement: 'I can't quite believe it and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I'm obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I'm over the moon they’re letting me try.'
Expanding Her Broadcasting Horizons
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Winkleman will join the Channel 4 presenting team for Crufts, following her exit from Strictly Come Dancing in December 2025. She will co-host the four-day event from Birmingham's NEC alongside broadcaster Clare Balding, Paralympic champion swimmer Ellie Simmonds, and TV presenter Radzi Chinyanganya.
Claudia shared her enthusiasm for the role: 'I absolutely love dogs and there is literally nowhere else on earth I'd rather be. I can't wait to join this incredible team, and I'm so grateful to Channel 4 for allowing me to be part of it. I have a pocket rammed with treats.'
Colleagues and Broadcasters Express Support
Clare Balding, who has led Channel 4's Crufts coverage since 2010 and participated in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors in 2025, looks forward to reuniting with Winkleman. Balding stated: 'I'm really looking forward to working with Claudia, who is a fantastic addition to the team. She really loves dogs and will bring an additional element of fun, as well as an intelligent curiosity and, of course, style.'
Channel 4 has expressed delight at Winkleman's involvement. Pete Andrews, Head of Sport at the broadcaster, remarked: 'Crufts holds a special place in the hearts of Channel 4 viewers. There is no other event like it, and it is such a thrill to be welcoming Claudia to our brilliant gang of presenters and adding to our celebration of all things dog.'
Upcoming Broadcast Details
Crufts, featuring breed judging, agility, flyball, Heelwork to Music, and the prestigious Best in Show competition, will broadcast over 20 hours of live television across Channel 4 and More4. Viewers can tune in from Thursday, March 5 to Sunday, March 8 to catch all the action.
