Cheryl shared photos from her 'wonderful' time at Universal Orlando Resort as she continued to explore Florida's attraction parks with her nine-year-old son, Bear. After heading to Disneyworld earlier in the week, the singer, 42, uploaded some photos on Instagram on Thursday from their time at Universal Orlando.
Cheryl's Universal Orlando Adventure
In one photo, Cheryl imitated Marvel Comic's villain Dr Doom as she posed next to the character while Green Goblin laughed in the background. In another photo, the former Girls Aloud star looked excited as she explored the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Cheryl posed for a photo at the popular tourist attraction Platform 9 3/4 and also wandered down Diagon Alley. She captioned the post: 'What a wonderful few days at Universal Orlando'.
Disneyworld Trip with Bear
Earlier in the week, Cheryl enjoyed a trip to Disneyworld with Bear. Cheryl's post with Bear, nine, is extremely rare, as the singer keeps her son firmly out of the limelight. In their adorable Disney snaps, protective mum Cheryl held Bear's hand as they walked through Toy Story Land in the park. Another photo showed the mother and son on a ride together, though Bear had lowered his head for the picture. The Fight For This Love hitmaker took to social media on Tuesday to share the sweet snaps from their holiday in the magic kingdom. Cheryl told fans: 'I don't know what took me so long to experience the joys of @waltdisneyworld but I completely escaped into my inner child for the last couple of weeks'.
Family Trip After Liam Payne's Passing
The family trip comes 18 months after Bear's father, Liam Payne, tragically passed away. Liam fell to his death on October 16 2024 while in a hotel in Buenos Aires. In a statement at the time, Cheryl said she felt 'indescribable pain' over telling Bear his father had passed away. Cheryl and Liam started dating in 2016, and welcomed their son Bear the following year. However, they announced their breakup in 2018.
Celebrity Traitors Rumours
The US trip comes as Celebrity Traitors fans are convinced Cheryl will join the star-studded line-up in a new twist. The Girls Aloud singer was reportedly approached by Celebrity Traitors bosses back in January as they assembled the cast. The BBC have already confirmed 21 names entering the famous castle - and Cheryl is not among them. This left many fans disappointed, as one wrote online: 'Noooooo! No Cheryl on Celeb Traitors!!!' and 'Celeb traitors cast reveal but there's no Cheryl.' However, all might not be lost because viewers have since theorised whether there could be a secret 22nd contestant taking part. Fans wrote on Reddit: 'Only 21 cast members, a secret 22nd or a late drop-out?' 'Danny Dyer was extremely heavily rumoured for this so it'd be funny if in Episode 2 he just gets thrown in like a grenade.' 'I could see them bringing an early out from season 1 back as a surprise cast member like Paloma or Tom.'
The BBC officially revealed stars include Michael Sheen, Richard E. Grant, Maya Jama, Ross Kemp, James Blunt, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jerry Hall. A slew of comedians including Miranda Hart, Joe Lycett, James Acaster, Joanne McNally, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan have also been lined-up. Rounding out the group are Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Dr. Hannah Fry, Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, Myha'la, Sharon Rooney and Sebastian Croft. The regular civilian series usually features 22 players taking part, all hoping to win a jackpot of up to £120,000. Meanwhile, the first celebrity edition - which was won by Alan Carr - only had 19 contestants.
