The second leg of Celebrity Race Across the World 2026 takes the teams to a modern metropolis on Borneo's eastern coast, their second checkpoint. The BBC series follows Sam Ryder, Jeff Stelling, Ella Eyre, and Princess and Junior Andre as they race across 7,500km to reach Melbourne, Australia in first place.
The 2026 race began in Kuching, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. From there, the pairs head south, trekking through jungles and crossing the Indian Ocean before tackling the Australian outback, passing through five checkpoints. Each pair has a budget of about £26 a day.
When does the next episode air?
New episodes of Celebrity Race Across the World air on Wednesdays on BBC One at 8pm, with each episode added to BBC iPlayer after broadcast. The winners are being kept under wraps, so fans cannot binge the series in advance.
The celebrity version of the series consists of six episodes, as with the previous three seasons. Based on this, the final is expected to air on Wednesday, December 2.
Who is racing this year?
The 2026 racers were announced at the start of October. They are singer Ella Eyre and childhood friend Nana, sports pundit Jeff Stelling and his son Matt, TV personalities Princess Andre and her brother Junior Andre, and singer Sam Ryder with his best friend and tour manager, Kaz.
These pairs are taking on the most formidable race yet, as the journey takes them further from the UK than the show has ever ventured.
Fans react to the season so far
Fans have shared their thoughts on social media. One wrote: "Watching #CelebrityRaceAcrossTheWorld And despite a dreadful start, I'm quite impressed with Junior and Princess immediately making the most of their situation by getting a home stay and job on first night." Another added: "Didn’t expect to really like the Andre kids, the producers have cast really well (again). Four interesting, risk taking pairs."
A third commented: "Love this programme. Liking everyone already. Matt so wants this, but does his dad? Hope Jeff starts to enjoy it. Ella & Nana brought a tear, they’re open, curious & lovely, like Sam & Kaz. Princess & Junior are going to learn lots - rooting for them #celebrityraceacrosstheworld."
Princess and Junior, the children of Katie Price and Peter Andre, wanted to step out of their parents' spotlight. Princess said ahead of the race: "Everything we do, we get compared to our parents. But we actually have our own thing that we do." Junior added: "We’ve kind of got a lot to prove. I’m so excited for this. I cannot wait to do this, we’re going to win."
