BBC Scotland has announced a star-studded festive schedule for 2025, headlined by the return of presenter Amy Irons to lead the channel's flagship Hogmanay celebrations for a second consecutive year.

Amy Irons, who also fronts the flagship Reporting Scotland programme, will once again helm the prestigious Hogmanay hosting duties, a role once held by broadcasting legends Jackie Bird and Edith Bowman.
On BBC One Scotland, Amy Irons leads Hogmanay 2025, a spectacular event featuring musical performances from Nathan Evans and Georgia Cécile. The broadcast will include live coverage from Edinburgh, capturing the iconic Lone Piper, the firing of Mons Meg, and a dazzling fireworks display set to music from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Viewers can look forward to a long-awaited Two Doors Down Christmas special, reuniting fans with the popular comedy's characters. The laughs continue with Scotland Stands Up, featuring Stuart Mitchell, and Karen Dunbar: Live from Ayr.
In a landmark documentary, Being Stanley Baxter will celebrate the iconic star's incredible career and approach to his 100th birthday. The festive home competition returns as judges Anna Campbell-Jones, Banjo Beale and Danny Campbell visit five hopeful households across the country to crown the winner of Scotland's Christmas Home of the Year 2025.
