ITV has announced that the third series of Alan Carr's semi-autobiographical sitcom 'Changing Ends' will air this autumn. The show, inspired by Carr's childhood in the 1980s, features Burnley-born Taylor Fay as his younger brother Gary Carr.
Since its debut, the comedy has been streamed over 14 million times on ITVX, received a BAFTA nomination, and won a Royal Television Society Award earlier this year. The new series is set in the summer of 1989, with Alan entering his teenage years and facing new challenges.
All principal cast members return, including Oliver Savell as young Alan, Shaun Dooley and Nancy Sullivan as his parents, and Alan Carr himself. Taylor Fay's mother, Laura Bell, shared that her son was excited to be back filming, noting a new studio set for the Carr family home.
Bell praised the cast and crew for their kindness and humour, adding that the child actors balance schoolwork with filming, completing at least three hours of lessons daily on set. All episodes from series one and two are available for free on ITVX.
