Netflix has confirmed that the writer's room for the third season of hit rom-com Nobody Wants This is currently at work, as revealed by star Kristen Bell in a recent interview. The show, which follows the interfaith romance between agnostic sex podcaster Joanne and rabbi Noah, has become a fan favourite since its debut in September 2023.
Season two, released on 23 October, ended on a cliffhanger with Joanne and Noah on the brink of breaking up again. Creator Erin Foster told TheWrap that Netflix is likely waiting to see the reaction to the second season before giving a green light, but she is ready to start writing. Foster has expressed hopes for the show to run for five seasons.
Key plot threads for season three include whether Joanne will convert to Judaism, a major source of tension in season two, and the fate of Esther and Sasha's marriage after Esther decided to separate. Additionally, Morgan's breakup with Dr Andy and potential romance with Sasha could be explored.
Fans are also hoping for more screen time for Bina and Ilan, Joanne's potential in-laws, as the merging of families and faiths continues. Both seasons one and two are currently streaming on Netflix.
