Netflix Stars Lead Prime Video's 'Every Year After' Adaptation

Sadie Soverall, known for her role in Netflix's 'Saltburn', and Matt Cornett, from Disney+'s 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series', have been cast as the leads in Prime Video's upcoming series 'Every Year After'. The show is based on Carley Fortune's bestselling romantic novel 'Every Summer After'.

The full main cast also includes Aurora Perrineau ('Kaos'), Abigail Cowen ('Fate: The Winx Saga'), Michael Bradway ('Chicago Fire'), and Joseph Chiu ('Fear Street: Prom Queen'). Soverall will play Percy, Cornett portrays Sam, Perrineau is Chantal, Cowen plays Delilah, Bradway portrays Charlie, and Chiu is Jordie.

'Every Year After' is described as a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever. The narrative unfolds over six years and one week in the quintessential lake town of Barry's Bay.

The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories, with a date yet to be announced. The source novel spent 14 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list and has sold over one million copies, gaining popularity through BookTok with over 81.4 million views on TikTok.

Author Carley Fortune expressed excitement about the cast, stating, 'I couldn't be more excited about this fabulous cast! This is an enormously talented group of actors, whose auditions made me laugh, swoon, and cry.'

Amy B. Harris will serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy. Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky, known for 'Sex and the City' and 'And Just Like That', are writers and consulting producers.
