Netflix has confirmed that the popular crime drama Unforgotten will be removed from its streaming platform on 11 March. The series, which first aired on ITV in 2015, has become a firm favourite among fans and boasts an impressive 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The show follows London detectives as they investigate historic cold cases involving missing persons, murder and long-hidden secrets. Its star-studded cast and compelling storytelling have earned it praise as the "best ever" crime series by many viewers.
Fans have taken to Rotten Tomatoes to express their admiration, with one calling it "one of the best mystery series I've seen" and another declaring it "simply the best series on TV". The acting and writing have been described as "phenomenal" and "impeccable".
While the first four seasons will leave Netflix, the series remains available elsewhere. ITVX offers all seasons, and the first five instalments can also be streamed on Disney+ and Prime Video. The sixth series launched to 9.2 million viewers, making it the biggest returning drama of 2025 across all channels and streaming platforms.
Netflix subscribers have until 11 March to watch Unforgotten on the platform.
