Hugh Laurie, best known for his role in 'House', is set to lead a new Apple TV+ thriller series titled 'The Wanted Man', created by George Kay, the mind behind 'Hijack'. The show follows the rise and fall of Felix Carmichael, the elusive head of a notorious British crime syndicate called 'The Capital'. After 20 years of evading capture, Carmichael is finally apprehended and held in Staplehurst prison, only to discover he has been betrayed by someone within his organisation.

As the traitor works to dismantle his empire, Carmichael must risk a daring escape to take revenge. The official synopsis states: 'Willing to stop at nothing to take his revenge, if he succeeds, he’ll be a wanted man once more.' The series promises a gripping narrative of betrayal, escape, and retribution.

The supporting cast includes Thandiwe Newton ('Westworld'), Fionn Whitehead ('Dunkirk'), Gina McKee ('My Policeman'), Hazel Doupe ('Say Nothing'), Elliott Heffernan ('Blitz'), and Stephen Dillane ('Game of Thrones'). The series is co-produced by New Pictures and Kay's Observatory Pictures, with Kay serving as creator, writer, and executive producer alongside Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford. Jakob Verbruggen will direct.
