The Princess of Wales shone in sunshine yellow as she made her grand return to Royal Ascot today for the first time since her cancer diagnosis. She had been due to attend the races last year, but was forced to pull out at the last minute, leaving her husband to attend the event alone.

Re-wearing a yellow dress by Roksanda, which she previously debuted during her and Prince William's 2022 Caribbean tour, Catherine positively glowed as she sat beside her husband in the carriage procession on the second day of the hugely anticipated racing event.

Royal Presence at Ascot

The King and Queen also returned for the second day of Ascot, travelling in the first carriage alongside Princess Margaret's daughter, Lady Sarah Chatto, and her husband, Daniel Chatto.

The Princess of Wales was photographed having a conversation with her father-in-law, King Charles, on the second day of Royal Ascot. This latest appearance marks the third time the family have been seen together at a public event in four days, after they joined the King and other senior royals at Trooping the Colour on Saturday and Garter Day on Monday.

The Prince and Princess of Wales returned to Royal Ascot together for the first time since Catherine's cancer diagnosis. Dressed in sunshine yellow, the Princess made an immediate impact as she and Prince William, who looked equally dapper in a classic mourning suit and a yellow flower in his buttonhole, travelled to the parade ground in the second carriage along with The Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.

King Charles and Queen Camilla Watch with Bated Breath

The King and Queen watched with trepidation as their horse Point of Law bid for glory in the Queen's Vase in the second race of the day. It comes after they watched their thoroughbred Reaching High finish last in the Ascot Stakes. Their Majesties took on the late Queen's stable of horses and have become enthusiastic and passionate racehorse owners, and enjoyed their first Royal Ascot win in 2023. Their thoroughbred Desert Hero won the King George V Stakes.

Zara Tindall Arrives for Day Two

After she and her husband, Mike Tindall, made their debut at the first day of the annual celebration, Zara Tindall was back for day two. Ahead of her daughter, Lena, turning eight tomorrow, the mother of three cut a glamorous figure in a navy dress and delicate headpiece as she joined the rest of the Royal Family in the Royal Box.

Prince William and Catherine Speak to Gareth Southgate

Prince William and Catherine were pictured speaking to former England manager Gareth Southgate. After he received his knighthood from the Prince of Wales last year, Southgate said he was "more emotional than I thought I would be" and described the honour as an "amazing privilege".
