Prince William offered a rare look inside his home while appearing on the podcast New Heights with NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce. The Prince of Wales, patron of the English Football Association, discussed England fans and warned the brothers about British beer-drinking prowess: "I think you haven't met your match until you've met a lot of beer drinkers from the UK. We can handle our own beer to anyone."
Royal Fans Spot Tribute to Queen Elizabeth
Viewers quickly focused on the background, where a large framed oil painting of a winter scene at Windsor Castle hung above a duck egg blue wooden cabinet. The painting is believed to be from the Royal Collection Trust, showing the castle from across the river in Eton.
On the cabinet sat a copy of Earthshot: How To Save Our Planet by Colin Butfield and Jonnie Hughes, for which William wrote the foreword in 2021. A sentimental Yabba pot, gifted to Queen Elizabeth by Jamaica for her Golden Jubilee in 2002, was also visible. Previously displayed in Buckingham Palace, it is now a personal item in William's home.
Home Likely Forest Lodge
Fans speculated the filming location was Forest Lodge, the Wales family home in Windsor. The timing—around England's win over Croatia and Royal Ascot—supports this, as Windsor is their closest residence. The 328-year-old, eight-bedroom property underwent a £1.5 million renovation in 2001 and rents for £15,000 a month.
A wicker basket of lilies on the cabinet also drew attention. The Princess of Wales carried lily of the valley in her 2011 wedding bouquet, a flower symbolising 'the return of happiness' and 'trustworthiness'.
