Meghan Markle accompanied Prince Harry to the UK last Friday for a highly anticipated reunion with King Charles at Highgrove House, the King's private residence. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, traveled with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after Harry had arrived earlier in the week. Queen Camilla was also present at the meeting, according to reports.
Meghan's Supportive Role
An insider revealed that Meghan played a key role in the reunion, described as being "very supportive" of Harry. The source told PEOPLE that her presence showed her "always letting him lead." The meeting was intended to help Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, adjust to an unfamiliar environment, with Meghan there to support her husband and children.
Ongoing Tensions
The Sussexes have been at odds with the royal family for years, with Harry reportedly not speaking to Prince William. The insider noted "a lot of sadness" over how the visit unfolded, adding that Meghan hasn't been able to be by Harry's side as much as she'd like.
Harry's Solo Appearance
After the reunion, Meghan and the children returned to California, while Harry made a solo appearance in New York City on Thursday night. He was named one of the TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports 2026 in the "Leaders" category, honoring his work with the Invictus Games. Harry told TIME he was inspired to create the Games on an international scale.
