Television presenter Leigh Francis enjoyed a tour of Liverpool's most popular attractions after his appearance at Comic Con. The two-day celebration of sci-fi, fantasy, comic books, video games, anime and manga arrived at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool on Saturday, October 10.
Brookside Close reunion
Leigh, best known for hosting ITV's Celebrity Juice under his Keith Lemon persona, regularly appears at the event as an after-party DJ. The 53-year-old spent his spare time visiting some of the city's tourist attractions, including Brookside Close, alongside former resident Alex Fletcher.
Alex is well-known for her role as Jacqui Dixon in the Channel 4 drama, which she reprised for a brief sketch with Leigh. During their taped scene, shared on Instagram, the pair poked fun at some of the programme's most memorable moments, including the lesbian kiss between actors Anna Friel and Nicola Stephenson.
Food stops and scare attraction
Leigh later visited the Chung Ku Chinese restaurant on Liverpool's Waterfront before popping over to Otterspool's Social Cup Coffee's van for a hot drink. Scare attraction Newsham Scream Park also received a friendly visit, with Leigh snapping photos at some of the site's photo backgrounds with staff.
Liverpool's illusion playground Quirky Quarter, in the city centre, was "delighted" by the visit, which was teased as a filming location for an undisclosed project.
Cavern Club brick signing
Finally, Leigh hit the stage at the Cavern Club, where he was allowed to sign one of the venue's bricks - a tradition reserved for performers and stars visiting the space.
Leigh spent the majority of the weekend meeting and greeting fans at Comic Con, where he dressed as Superman. Major stars who appeared this weekend included Jude Law, David Harbour and Christopher Lloyd.
This weekend's event was the second in Liverpool Comic Con's annual calendar. An earlier convention, which took place in May this year, welcomed thousands of visitors dressed in incredible costumes representing their favourite video game, television and film characters.
