Celebrity Traitors viewers were left furious just minutes into the latest episode after beloved contestant Bella Ramsey was eliminated from the BBC show. The popular gameshow returned to television on Friday evening (October 9), with the famous contestants still reeling from Faithful Myha'la's departure during the previous night's banishment.
The American actress had not featured on anyone's radar of suspicion until she winked at Traitor Richard E. Grant before casting her vote against him at the first roundtable. The remaining participants became convinced she had only made such a gesture because she was secretly a Traitor too, though they were tragically wrong.
Third departure of the series
Her elimination marked the programme's third departure, coming after the recently-banished Richard and journalist Amol Rajan, who met his demise early in the competition. While audiences have remained utterly captivated by the series, some have threatened to abandon it entirely after discovering the Traitors' most recent casualty.
The latest instalment revealed that the trio had eliminated Bella on Thursday evening, having recognised the performer posed one of their greatest dangers. Even Bella conceded the decision was a "clever move" if the Traitors wanted to maintain their cover, reports Wales Online.
Viewers vent fury online
However, home viewers were frustrated to see the Game of Thrones star leave, flocking to social media to express their outrage. "OH NO I AM RAGING WHAT THE HELL #celebritytraitors," vented one X user.
Another declared: "THEY F**** GOT BELLA TURNING THIS BULL*** OFF #celebritytraitors," while a third raged: "NO NOT BELLA. Traitors, you have made an enemy of me #CelebrityTraitors." Another BBC viewer expressed the same thing, writing: "D**N YOU TRAITORS FOR MURDERING BELLA! R.I.P MY STYLE ICON!!". Meanwhile, a final fan declared: "#CelebrityTraitors THE ACTUAL AUDACITY TO MURDER BELLA."
Faithfuls' prospects dim
Bella's departure sparked just as much devastation within the castle walls, where the Faithfuls have now seen three allies eliminated in merely one week. Their prospects of securing the substantial £100,000 charitable prize are diminishing with each passing episode.
The Celebrity Traitors will continue with its fourth instalment next Thursday, October 15, at 8pm. The fifth episode will broadcast at the identical time on Friday, October 16.
Viewers have expressed frustration regarding the programme's broadcasting schedule, which compels them to endure six days between new episodes. However, others have contended the gap provides them with "something to look forward to". The Celebrity Traitors is streaming now on BBC iPlayer.
