James, speaking to Paddy Power, described the exchange as going beyond normal 'soft' banter, calling it a genuine 'moment' that could trigger lingering 'model on model' beef.

Maya's 'chef's kiss' moment

James detailed how Maya escalated the confrontation: she began with a controlling use of 'Jerry!' to command attention, leaned over the table, performed a hard blink, and placed her hands flat on the table to announce decisiveness. As Jerry made excuses, Maya raised her voice and added a mocking, 'singing' note to the word 'confusion', then raised her hands to reveal her long nails 'like baring claws'.

Atmosphere turns 'nasty'

The clash follows comments from Amol Rajan, who was murdered and left in a coffin earlier in the series.
