Stephanie Marshall, a bride on Married at First Sight Australia, has revealed she knew one of the other grooms before entering the experiment. The 32-year-old real estate agent worked with Grayson McIvor back in 2017, two years before the show.
Speaking to Pedestrian TV, Stephanie said seeing Grayson at the dinner parties provided a 'comfort blanket'. She explained: 'I worked with Grayson back in 2017 for a very short moment, so to see his face was really comforting. Just to think, 'Oh my god, I know someone in this experiment, we're both going through the same thing'.'
Stephanie was paired with former soldier-turned-property developer Tyson Gordon, whom she met for the first time at the altar. Their marriage has been rocky, with Tyson expressing disappointment that Stephanie is 32, as he had hoped for a wife in her mid-20s. He also criticised her 'woke vibes'.
Meanwhile, Grayson McIvor was matched with bride Julia Vogl, but the couple have since split due to communication issues. Stephanie, who earned £350,000 last year from property sales, admitted she was 'totally freaking out' after her wedding day.
Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 7.30pm.
