The latest episode of Emmerdale delivered major twists, including Vinny Dingle's exit and the return of Graham Foster with Baby Tate. The episode also hinted at a hidden past for Serena Sugden.
Vinny Dingle sentenced and leaves the village
Vinny Dingle, played by Bradley Johnson, has left the show after being sentenced to 10 years in prison in Monday's episode. The sentence came after Vinny caused the deaths of Jimmy King and Dawn Taylor while driving distracted by his phone.
The harsh sentence was inflicted by a judge who had been paid off by Dawn's grieving partner Joe Tate. These are Vinny's final scenes, and it remains to be seen if anyone will discover Joe's interference.
Graham Foster returns with Baby Tate
Graham Foster has returned after his recent exit from the village. After Joe had his baby son, known as Baby Tate, placed up for adoption, Graham had refused to stay. But Monday's episode confirmed that Graham is working with Joe's step-grandmother Kim Tate, and the pair are caring for the baby.
Graham is living in an unknown location, raising the baby, while Kim pretends to Joe she knows nothing about it. This confirms the baby has not been adopted and remains with the Tates. Recent interviews have hinted that Baby Tate will remain on the show.
Serena and Thea's secret hinted
The episode also teased a possible secret involving Serena and DS Thea Ramsden. As Thea continued her plan against her secret mother Kim, Serena asked how far she would go and if it was worth risking her career.
Thea replied that she had Serena's back in the past, telling her she was there when needed. The looks exchanged hinted at an unknown event where Thea stepped in for Serena, suggesting Serena may be hiding something only Thea knows.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
