Cheryl makes her long-awaited TV return tonight as she joins The Voice UK as a guest advisor, helping friend will.i.am during the battle rounds. The Girls Aloud star appears on ITV's singing competition this Saturday, October 10, offering advice as will.i.am selects singers to take through to the next round.
This marks Cheryl's first major TV appearance following a multi-year hiatus since her role as dance captain on The Greatest Dancer in 2019. The former X Factor judge is set to officially join The Voice UK as a main coach next year, alongside will.i.am and Kelly Rowland, with fellow newcomer Aitch also joining the panel in 2027 as Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher bow out.
Guest mentors join the coaches
Cheryl is not the only familiar face appearing on the programme. Singer-songwriter Paloma Faith makes her return to the show after previously serving as a main coach in 2016, advising Sir Tom on which team members will make it to the end of the competition.
The Voice Australia coach and current Strictly Come Dancing contestant Delta Goodrem will help Kelly Rowland, having spent eight seasons on the Aussie edition. Danny and Tom will be joined by their McFly band members Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd as they try to win The Voice UK two consecutive years in a row following their success with AVA in 2024.
Teams finalised after blind auditions
Last Saturday (October 3), the final round of blind auditions aired, and the coaches finalised their teams, which consist of eight acts each. Team will.i.am includes Diogo Ferreira, Sonna Rele, BMG, Triple Threat, Teodora Sava, Naná Aldrin-Quaye, Ardú and Bella Popera. Team Kelly has Monique Nicholson-Porter, Ray Gelato, Lascel Wood, Aaren James, Cris Quammie, Samantha Udeke, Turah Sadiq and Jessica Beth.
Cate McHugh, Vadé Amãlia Estradas, Harry Linacre, Eric & Jensen, Dakari Love, Molly J and Robbie McMinn represent Team Sir Tom, while Ellie Harney, Ross McGuire, Ciiara Nyx, Finlay McKillop, Jack Algar, Frank Raven, Regan Preece and Adam Tucker have joined Team Tom and Danny.
The coaches and their advisors will now work with the acts to help them secure their place in the competition, but not every act can progress. The Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday, October 10 at 8.35pm.
