BBC viewers voiced fury just minutes into the latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors after fan favourite Bella Ramsey was murdered by the Traitors. The gameshow returned to screens on Friday evening (October 9), with the celebrities still mourning the loss of Faithful Myha'la during the previous night's banishment.
The American actress was not on anyone's suspect list until she winked at Traitor Richard E. Grant before voting for him during the very first roundtable. The other players became convinced that she only made the gesture because she was also a Traitor, but they were sadly mistaken. She marked the show's third exit, following the newly-banished Richard and journalist Amol Rajan, who was murdered early in the game.
Fans threaten to switch off over Bella's exit
It was revealed in the latest episode that the trio murdered Bella on Thursday night, after realising the actor was one of their biggest threats. Even Bella admitted the elimination was a "clever move" if the Traitors want to keep their identities a secret. But viewers at home were furious to see the Game of Thrones star leave, gathering on social media to voice their frustration.
"OH NO I AM RAGING WHAT THE HELL #celebritytraitors," vented one X user. Someone else said: "THEY F**** GOT BELLA TURNING THIS BULL*** OFF #celebritytraitors," while a third fumed: "NO NOT BELLA. Traitors, you have made an enemy of me #CelebrityTraitors."
Faithfuls lose third teammate
Another BBC viewer was just as frustrated as they penned: "D**N YOU TRAITORS FOR MURDERING BELLA! R.I.P MY STYLE ICON!!!." And a final fan said: "#CelebrityTraitors THE ACTUAL AUDACITY TO MURDER BELLA."
Bella's exit caused just as much upset inside the castle, where the Faithfuls have now lost three teammates in just one week. Their chances of winning the huge £100,000 prize for charity are looking slimmer with every episode.
Release schedule sparks complaints
The Celebrity Traitors will return with its fourth episode next Thursday, October 15, at 8pm. The fifth instalment will air at the same time on Friday, October 16. Fans have voiced complaints about the show's release schedule, which forces them to wait six days between fresh episodes. But others have argued the delay gives them "something to look forward to".
The Celebrity Traitors is streaming now on BBC iPlayer.
