Big Brother fans rage over 'filler' episode before 2025 final
Big Brother viewers slam 'ridiculous' final week episode

Big Brother viewers have erupted in anger after what they've described as a 'ridiculous' and 'pointless' episode aired just two days before the 2025 final.

Fury Erupts Over Scheduling Decision

Fans of the reality show took to social media within minutes of the Wednesday, November 12 episode starting, expressing widespread frustration about the programme's content. The core complaint centred on ITV's decision to delay broadcasting the crucial double eviction until Thursday, November 13 - merely one day before the grand finale on Friday, November 14.

This scheduling means supporters must wait to discover which two of the seven nominated housemates - Elsa, Marcus, Teja, Tate, Emily, Richard, and Jenny - have been eliminated in a suspected backdoor eviction that already occurred off-screen.

A Royal Disappointment

Instead of the anticipated eviction drama, Wednesday's episode featured a regal-themed task that left many viewers cold. With Somerset farmer Cameron having previously secured his automatic pass to the final, he was crowned 'King of the Big Brother house'.

His first royal duty involved appointing Jenny as his Royal Aid, while Marcus was designated Court Jester, tasked with keeping the monarch entertained. Tate received the role of Royal Comforter, essentially serving as a human footrest, and Emily became the Royal Cook.

The task descended into chaos with Tate being banished to the garden jail and having rotten tomatoes thrown at him, but these antics failed to impress viewers expecting more substantial content during finals week.

Viewer Backlash on Social Media

The disappointment was immediate and vocal on platform X, formerly Twitter. One exasperated fan declared: "This is such a filler episode i can't, GIVE US THE WICKED TASK AND EVICTION NOWWWWW."

Another criticised the channel's approach, writing: "It really is annoying that they are making us wait till tomorrow, the day before the final to see who's gone. @ITV just can't do backdoor evictions right, there's too many of them."

The sentiment was echoed across numerous posts, with one viewer stating: "It really is ridiculous that the last eviction before the final, a double eviction as well, happened this morning and won't be shown until tomorrow. This series has been done so badly."

Many expressed that the entire finals week has failed to deliver expected excitement, with one user posting: "the final week has been a bore," while another commented: "I knew this week #bbuk would be boring! These tasks dont create drama."

The Big Brother 2025 finale airs Friday, November 14 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, where one contestant will be crowned champion amid the ongoing viewer dissatisfaction with the show's production choices.
