Yungblud Cancels US Tour After Doctors Find Health Concerns
Yungblud cancels US tour due to medical concerns

British rock artist Yungblud has made the difficult decision to cancel all his remaining United States and Latin American tour dates for 2025 after doctors identified health concerns during a routine medical examination.

Medical Advice Forces Tour Postponement

The 28-year-old musician, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, announced the cancellation in a heartfelt social media statement. He revealed that routine tests conducted after returning from tour showed worrying results in both his voice and blood work.

"I have been ordered by my doctor to take a break from touring until the end of the year," Yungblud explained to his fans. He acknowledged his tendency to push himself relentlessly, stating: "It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a f*** about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I've been told I have to take it seriously."

Cancelled Shows and Future Plans

The cancelled performances include scheduled concerts in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, Mexico City and across Latin America. All affected dates were part of his ongoing promotion for his latest album, Idols, which was released in June and has earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

Expressing his regret, the artist said: "My heart is broken. I'm so sorry to do this. But reluctantly I have to cancel the shows through the end of the year." He emphasised that all ticket purchases for US shows will be automatically refunded.

Looking ahead, Yungblud reassured fans that his planned UK Idols World Tour in April 2026 remains unaffected and will proceed as scheduled. He also promised to make it up to disappointed American fans, confirming: "USA I will see you next year." For Mexico and Latin American audiences, he mentioned plans to organise more affordable shows in the region next year.

A Landmark Year Despite Setback

Despite this unexpected health-related interruption, 2025 has been a significant year for the Doncaster-born artist. Beyond his Grammy nomination for Idols, he received recognition for his performance of Changes at Black Sabbath's farewell concert.

Yungblud has established himself as a major force in British music, having secured three number one albums on the UK charts: Weird! (2020), his self-titled 2022 release, and this year's Idols. He was also recently honoured with the disruptor of the year prize at the Nordoff and Robbins Northern Music Awards in Liverpool.

Known for launching the more affordable BludFest and for hit collaborations with artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Yungblud concluded his announcement by thanking fans for their understanding, writing: "I never take anyone's love, support or energy for granted. You know you are everything to me. But I need this time."
