New Additions to the Musical Canon

While the first film's music was drawn entirely from the beloved stage production, composer Stephen Schwartz has created two brand-new original songs exclusively for Wicked: For Good.

The first, No Place Like Home, is a powerful solo performed by Cynthia Erivo in her role as Elphaba. The second new track, The Girl in the Bubble, is sung by Ariana Grande's Glinda.

Erivo shared her excitement about her new song with Variety, revealing, "When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears. I hope audiences are ready — it’s a song that speaks to the heart of who Elphaba is."

A Cinematic Phenomenon Continues

The release of the soundtrack marks the latest triumph for the Wicked franchise, which has become a cultural phenomenon since the first film's debut in November 2024. That initial instalment was a staggering box office success, earning nearly $750 million worldwide and securing its place as the most successful musical adaptation in cinema history.

With Wicked: For Good now enchanting audiences in cinemas and its soundtrack available to stream and own, the story of Elphaba and Glinda's friendship is set to captivate fans once again, both on screen and through their speakers.
