Taylor Swift's Final Eras Tour Episodes Arrive Early on Disney+ for Christmas
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Doc Final Episodes Drop Early

Swifties across the UK and the globe have received an unexpected early Christmas present. Disney+ has announced a surprise schedule change for the concluding chapters of Taylor Swift's highly anticipated behind-the-scenes docu-series.

An Early Festive Gift for Fans

The streaming giant revealed via X that the final two episodes of The End Of An Era will now premiere on December 23 at 12am Pacific Time. This shift brings the release forward by three days from its original planned date of December 26. Disney+ framed the move as "an early gift to fans around the world."

The announcement was accompanied by a sneak peek of episodes three and four, which promise to deliver never-before-seen content. Highlights will include deeper insights into Swift's relationship with American football star Travis Kelce, her intricate quick-change routines between elaborate performances, and a special on-stage moment with supporting act Sabrina Carpenter.

Inside the Record-Breaking Eras Tour Phenomenon

The End Of An Era is a six-episode docuseries that pulls back the curtain on the monumental Eras Tour, which ran from March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, to December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. The series chronicles the tour's development, its global impact, and the immense effort required to stage the cultural phenomenon.

The tour itself shattered records, becoming the highest-grossing tour in history and elevating Swift to billionaire status primarily through music earnings. It featured a mammoth three-hour, 40-song setlist spanning ten eras of her career, attracting millions of fans and numerous celebrities and royals worldwide. The overwhelming initial demand famously crashed the Ticketmaster system in late 2022.

In a touching moment from the upcoming footage, Swift's mother, Andrea Swift, is heard saying, "Travis Kelce brings a lot of happiness to a lot of fans." The teaser also shows Kelce on stage during Swift's performance of I Can Do It With a Broken Heart in London, with Swift noting the deafening crowd reaction: "I can safely say that was the loudest they ever got on the Eras tour."

Release Schedule and Intimate Revelations

The docuseries rollout is as follows:

  • The first two episodes premiered on Friday, December 13.
  • Episodes three and four are scheduled for December 19.
  • The final two episodes (five and six) will now debut on December 23.

Beyond the Kelce focus, the series offers intimate access to Swift's life on the road, spotlighting friends and fellow performers like Gracie Abrams, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch. It also reveals how Swift managed the physical demands of the tour. In a recent interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, she described her post-show ritual: returning to her hotel, getting into a bath immediately for "mermaid time," and then ordering "the most amount of room service possible," including french fries, to power up for the next night's three-and-a-half-hour spectacle.

For fans, this early release means a deeper dive into the magic and mechanics of the Eras Tour will be available to stream just in time for the Christmas weekend.
