Post Malone's Awkward Backflip Fail on Twitch Livestream Goes Viral
Post Malone's painful backflip fail on Twitch stream

Grammy-nominated rapper Post Malone has become the latest victim of an ill-advised stunt, suffering an embarrassing and painful fall during a live broadcast on the streaming platform Twitch.

The Live Stream Blunder

The incident occurred on Monday, December 30, 2025, during a 10-hour collaborative stream with popular broadcaster xQc. The event was organised to promote Post Malone's Murder Circus Encore event within the video game Hunt: Showdown 1896. After drinking Bud Light beer during the broadcast, the 30-year-old musician decided to attempt a backflip from his office chair.

Addressing his viewers, the I Had Some Help singer warned, "Alright, here it comes y'all. This is just an attempt." The warning proved prescient. The stunt went disastrously wrong almost immediately. Before he could even get fully upright, Post Malone slipped and fell backwards onto the floor, failing to complete any part of the flip.

Reaction and Aftermath

His fellow streamer, xQc, could only hold his head in shock, remarking, "That was more like a cork." Remarkably, Post Malone managed to keep hold of his cigarette throughout the entire fall. After landing, he burst into laughter at his own mishap before stumbling off-camera.

The rapper quickly revealed the attempt had caused an injury, stating, "It was alright. I actually hurt my wrist. My f***ing chair rotated. F***! Owww!" This marks the second time in recent weeks the star has taken a public tumble, following an incident where he stumbled on a small staircase during a concert at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground in India just three weeks prior.

New Music on the Horizon

Despite the physical setback, Post Malone used the stream to share exciting news about his musical future. He confirmed plans to release two new albums in 2026 "if everything goes correctly." Fans will get a first taste of this new material when he headlines the free Bud Light Super Bowl concert on February 6, 2026, at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the artist elaborated on his prolific output, saying, "We've been working very, very diligently on new music. And we have 45 songs. It's just a matter of finishing said songs... there will be new music by then... allegedly. Allegedly a hundred percent maybe, definitely."

Since finding fame with his viral 2015 debut single White Iverson, Post Malone has secured a formidable career, earning five American Music Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, and 18 Grammy Award nominations, with his first nods coming for Rockstar and Better Now.
