Liam Gallagher Vows to Quit Alcohol for Good After Oasis Tour Finale
Liam Gallagher quits booze after Oasis tour

In a move that marks a significant personal transformation, rock legend Liam Gallagher has publicly vowed to give up alcohol for good. The Oasis frontman made the declaration following the band's final reunion show in São Paulo, Brazil, concluding a hugely successful world tour.

A New Chapter Post-Oasis Reunion

The 53-year-old singer, whose name was once synonymous with a hard-living rock and roll lifestyle, revealed he had already abstained from alcohol and cigarettes during the tour to protect his voice for the performances. After the final gig, the band reportedly celebrated with beers, but Liam confessed he wasn't 'feeling it'.

Taking to social media platform X, he wrote: 'I had a few beers wasn’t feeling it I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation.' This post prompted an outpouring of support from fans, with many congratulating him on his health-focused decision.

Fan Interaction and Personal Reflections

When one fan inquired if he missed his old vices, the singer gave a candid response, stating he needed to sort 'his life out'. He expressed deep gratitude towards Oasis, saying, 'Oasis saved my life. It's about time I sorted my nappa [head] out.'

He acknowledged the dedication of the fans, explaining that giving up 'drinking and smoking and snorting Gary baldies' were necessary sacrifices. He signed off the message with 'thems the rules MCFC', a nod to his beloved football club, Manchester City. In a characteristically honest moment, when another follower asked if he missed the 'occasional Guinness', Liam replied, 'Yeah I miss talking absolute b***ocks when I'm bladdered.'

Tour Success and Future Speculation

The massively anticipated Oasis reunion tour, which came 16 years after the band's infamous split, has been a colossal financial success. It has been reported that Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher were on track to earn a staggering £400 million from the 41-date global tour.

Despite the tour's conclusion sparking intense speculation about the band's future, including rumours of a potential Knebworth residency or shows at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, Liam was quick to clarify that the decision is not his alone. He had previously hinted at future plans during a Wembley Stadium gig, telling the crowd 'see you next year', but later joked he'd been reprimanded for the comment.

This was further complicated when a statement was made in the House of Lords by Baroness Sharon Taylor of Stevenage, suggesting Oasis would play five nights at the Hertfordshire venue. However, she later recanted, telling the BBC she was 'speaking hypothetically' and that the band had not confirmed anything.
