Cruz Beckham denies copying The Beatles and Oasis

Cruz Beckham Fires Back at Music Comparison Claims

Cruz Beckham has firmly addressed accusations that his musical style copies legendary bands The Beatles and Oasis as he establishes himself in the music industry. The 20-year-old aspiring artist, who recently debuted with singles Optics and Lick The Toad, responded directly to social media comments suggesting his work sounds too similar to the iconic groups.

Social Media Clapback and Family Support

On Sunday, Cruz took to his Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the critical remarks, adding his own sharp response: 'Yeah u mean like... writing a song.' He further commented: 'Some people hurt my brain. Jealously ignites delusion. Bl**dy hell.' This defence comes amid strong family support for his musical endeavours.

The youngest Beckham son recently performed an intimate gig with his band The Breakers, where his parents David and Victoria Beckham watched from the front row. David Beckham shared his emotional reaction, posting: 'Family & friends night with Cruz we r so proud of you mate we love you and the journey that you are on... Tonight was full of love & a few tears of joy and pride.'

Injury Update and Romantic Moments

Just days before addressing the copycat claims, Cruz revealed a gruesome finger injury on his Instagram Stories. He shared a photograph of his bandaged pinky finger, covering the image with a peace sign emoji. Meanwhile, his relationship with girlfriend Jackie Apostel continues to blossom, with the couple sharing passionate kisses in matching fur coats after his performance.

Jackie, who confirmed their romance in October 2024 after beginning dating in June, hinted at bigger things to come for Cruz's music career. She posted: 'Might it finally be time to drop what we've all been waiting for? @cruzbeckham,' suggesting a debut album might be imminent.

Cruz's explicit lyrics in single Optics have drawn attention, featuring lines about drugs and sex, while Lick The Toad focuses more on nature themes. His career advancement follows reports earlier this year that he signed with top music management company C3, known for working with US indie group The Strokes.
