Oasis documentary lands on Disney+ with unseen footage

Oasis fans can relive last year’s tour as the band’s new documentary finally lands on streaming platforms. On Friday (October 9), Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger arrived on Disney+ following a hugely successful theatrical release.

The feature-length film charts the record-breaking Oasis Live ‘25 tour that saw Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite on stage for the first time in 16 years. Last summer, the brothers – along with Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Joey Waronker – played to millions of fans around the world.

The documentary is billed as ‘an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, featuring rehearsal, backstage and onstage access as well as Liam and Noel’s first joint interviews in more than 20 years’.

Streaming premiere and Disney+ sale

Its streaming premiere comes amid a Disney+ sale that has seen prices fall by up to 26%. Until Tuesday (October 13), Disney+ prices start at £4.99 (was £5.99) per month for a six-month Disney+ Standard with Ads subscription. Those preferring to watch ad-free can opt for Disney+ Standard at £7.99 (was £9.99) or Disney+ Premium at £10.99 (was £14.99).

Both options also unlock downloadable content for offline viewing, with Premium members able to stream in up to 4K Ultra HD on four devices simultaneously. A caveat is that customers must sign up for a six-month term, after which time the price will revert to normal unless cancelled.

Never-before-seen footage

Alongside Oasis’ sold-out world tour, Disney+ members will see never-before-seen footage not featured in the film’s theatrical release. This includes additional material from Liam and Noel Gallagher's joint interview, plus exclusive bonus material such as full performances of Wonderwall and Slide Away, as well as exclusive performances of D’You Know What I Mean? and Half The World Away which do not feature in the film.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger comes from Steven Knight, the BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer, producer and director best-known for Peaky Blinders. It is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose credits also include music documentaries Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.

How to watch on Disney+

Oasis fans can watch the documentary by signing up for a Disney+ subscription on the streamer’s website or app on mobile, tablet or smart TVs. Disney+ doesn’t offer a free trial, but some retailers dish out discounted subscriptions to select customers.

Tesco Clubcard members can convert their points to a three-month subscription, with £9 to vouchers to spend on three months access. O2 customers can get up to six months Disney+ Standard if choosing it as inclusive O2 Extra when signing up for or upgrading their contract. O2 also offers Disney+ Premium for the lifetime of a contract with its Ultimate Plan, available with new handsets like the iPhone 18 Pro. Virgin Media customers on the Max Volt bundle also receive a six-month O2 Extra, but this comes in at a pricey £74.99 per month for TV, 1,130Mbps broadband, Netflix and an unlimited O2 SIM.

Critical reception

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger received overwhelmingly positive reviews when it hit cinemas in September. What’s On Editor Jenna Campbell hailed it as ‘a triumphant homage to Manchester’s favourite sons’ and ‘a lesson in the power of forgiveness’.

Many fans also took to X to share their thoughts, as one said: “Flew from America to watch in Manchester at Printworks. Absolute masterpiece.” Another said: “Cried, laughed and sang my heart out. Can’t wait to watch it all again on Disney+.” Not everyone agreed, as this comment says: “Too much of fans crying and silly stories and not enough of the band. Supersonic is far superior.” While this fan said: “I went to the cinema to watch it, it was amazing everyone singing along.”
