Victoria Beckham reveals Bisto gravy rule in homeware launch

Victoria Beckham has shared an unexpected admission about what she and her family enjoy when it comes to sitting down for a Sunday roast. The comments came as she launches her first homeware range that includes a butter dish retailing at £119.

The fashion designer started her eponymous label in 2008 and expanded to include a beauty line in 2019. But three years later, it was nearly £54 million in debt.

Last year, the Netflix documentary, titled Victoria Beckham, followed her career from pop star to fashion designer, which was filmed as she also prepared to show at Paris Fashion Week. But the series also highlighted the brand's struggles, as after the business went "tens of millions into the red", her husband, David Beckham, bailed the business out.

Brand returns to profit

Despite struggling to turn over a profit over the year, earlier this year, it was revealed that Victoria's fashion and beauty label has recorded an operating profit for the first time in 18 years since its launch.

As reported by the Financial Times at the end of August, accounts show Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd achieved an operating profit of £7.3 million in 2025, compared with a £1.6 million loss in the previous year. The brand reported an increase in total revenues of 15% to £129.8 million in 2025, up from £112.7 million in 2024.

Speaking to the publication, Victoria said: "We have all worked hard for a long time for this moment of profitability and growth. We've been very transparent about the problems that we had in the business but have recovered and are now growing at a sensible pace. After 20 years, people don't look at my brand as a celebrity brand any more."

Debut home collection

Now, Victoria has launched her debut home collection. Launching online on Westwing on Monday (October 12), it includes classy cutlery sets, napkins, and glasses.

The former Spice Girl said she used the same ideas for the homeware range as her clothing collections, commenting: "Everything has to be rooted in reality. Everything I design, everything I put on the catwalk, you can wear. Nothing is there just to represent a silhouette."

In an interview to coincide with the launch, Victoria has been opening up about dinner at home with her husband and their family. The celebrity couple, once dubbed 'Posh and Becks', have been married since 1999 and are parents to four children - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper. However, they have been estranged from their eldest child following his marriage to his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Family Sunday traditions

Giving an insight into their Sundays at home, Victoria has revealed that she and David like to sit down to eat with Romeo Cruz and Harper at around 6.30pm. "We're very traditional, actually, as a family," she told the Sunday Times, before revealing that a roast dinner is something David is 'particularly committed' to.

"Yorkshire puddings are a big crowd-pleaser, stuffing, lots of vegetables," she shared. "No parsnips — it's one of the only foods my husband does not like and will not eat." But the surprising revelation when it came to mention of their gravy choice. "It has to be Bisto, extra thick," Victoria revealed.
