The Voice UK 2026: Start time, judges, and new format

The Voice UK returns to ITV on Saturday, August 22 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX, airing until 8.15pm. The hit singing competition is back for a 14th series, with a new judge and a format twist.

Judges and host confirmed

Emma Willis returns as host, alongside coaches Will.i.am, Tom Jones, and McFly's Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher. American singer and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland makes her debut as a judge this year.

Speaking about the new series, Emma Willis said: "We're back! Kelly Rowland has joined us and she's just incredible. She's everything you'd want from a coach. I was in awe of her! Then we've got the other brilliant coaches who work so well together."

She added: "There's a real mixed bag in this series, which I love. We don't just have pop singers or ballad singers, we've got country, opera... It crosses all of the genres and everyone that comes through those doors is amazing."

New Rewind Button introduced

This year, The Voice introduces a "Rewind Button" for the first time, giving judges the opportunity to give singers a second chance if they didn't turn around initially.

Danny Jones said: "The Rewind Button is a total game-changer! It's brilliant because it gives that extra bit of power to right a wrong."

Tom Fletcher added: "We've all had those moments where we've watched a performance back and thought 'What were we doing!' So it's a great safety net and is guaranteed to make things more interesting."

Format and future

ITV's description reads: "With only eight places available on each team, the coaches must choose carefully as they search for the UK's most exciting singing talent. Plus, for the first time, the Rewind button gives them the chance to bring back an artist they regret letting go."

It has been reported Emma Willis will be stepping away from the role next year due to a clash in her presenting duties with Strictly Come Dancing. Earlier this year, the 50-year-old was announced as the new host of the BBC dancing show alongside Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdecombe, which airs later this year.
